Dermal fillers can be used for a range of facial contouring applications.
Part of the ageing process is loss of collagen, fat, and bone volume in the face. Dermal fillers of different thicknesses can augment bone structure, fill up lost soft tissue volume, and soften deep lines and wrinkles. These changes start to become apparent in the 30’s and 40’s. Areas that are commonly treated are cheeks, drooping corners of the mouth, jowls, hollow temples, lip contours, and nasolabial folds.
Even younger people in their 20’s and early 30’s who have not lost volume may wish to augment their lips, chin, cheeks or nose, or improve the appearance of any asymmetry. Dermal fillers are a less invasive, non-surgical way of doing this.
At Woodbridge Family Practice, we use only the highest quality dermal fillers. We cannot mention brand names on this website due to laws regarding the advertisement of prescription medicines. The products used contain local anaesthetic. However, depending on the area being treated, our cosmetic doctor may also use other local anaesthetics to ensure your comfort.
The longevity of the treatment depends on the type of filler used and where it is placed. Please see Dr Jess for a consultation for further information.
